My Friend

Josh was looking through some stuff on the counter last night and Joshua said, "What you got in there, my friend?" to his Daddy. It was so cute. Josh and I looked at each other to make sure we both heard him correctly. Not sure where he got that one from either. :0)

"Oh, that sounds like fun!"

On Friday last week I told Joshua that I was going to brush my teeth and this was his reply, "Oh, that sounds like fun!" Not sure where he got that from or exactly when it started, but he has been saying more often. Such a funny little guy! :0)

Hilarious!!!

Joshua has this dolphin toy that he got at Chuck E Cheese. It came with 3 nerf type darts that go on the dolphin's nose & when you squeeze the dolphin the dart goes flying. We are down to only having one of the darts left. Joshua and I were laying down on the floor just a little bit ago, I was on my tummy and Joshua sat up to shoot the dolphin dart up in the air. As I rolled over to look up and see where it was going, it landed in my mouth. It was hilarious! Joshua and I both laughed SOOOOOO hard that it made us both keep laughing and laughing. He thought it was so funny that he wanted to do it again, but he didn't realize how it landed in my mouth... he wanted me to open my mouth and shoot the dart directly into it. It was a fabulous funny moment for us today! :0) I wish that we could have this one on video since there is no way that this could ever be repeated even if we tried.

You Smell Something?

Joshua was laying on the floor in the kitchen in front of the pantry cabinet with the door open and with his head inside the cabinet. (hopefully I described it well enough that you can actually picture it) And then he said, "I mell sumping." (I smell something)... "you mell sumping?" (you smell something?)... then he said, "I mell... I mell... crunchies."...
Oh my goodness... I am not positive, but it seemed like he was saying what Petrie says about Ducky on The Land Before Time, which has been the movie that he is picking out to watch more than any other recently because of the dinosaurs. Petrie says, "I smell... I smell... I smell... Ducky!" and then Ducky says, "You smell me?" back to Petrie. What a silly little boy!

"for my poop"

he he he... whenever Joshua has a hard time pooping we used to feed him pureed prunes and now we just give him prune juice, or "prume juice" as he calls it. This morning I asked him if he wanted some prune juice and I handed him the cup and he said "for my poop"... hilarious! :0)

"Mama get me!"

Joshua is into climbing underneath things these days... sometimes under his plastic picnic table and sometimes just under the dining room table.... tonight he climbed under the dining room table & then under the bar stool next to it... somehow.... so he got stuck... and then he said, "Mama get me!" What a silly little boy! :0) (took it with my cell phone so it isn't that great, but it was funny, so I hadta use what was available)

Dinosaur Jungle

Joshua really likes to play with his dinosaurs that he got when we took him to the Museum of Ancient Life at Thanksgiving Point back in March. He picked out a Saltasaurus and a Triceratops. We have added to his collection with a few small ones, too. I have been wanting to make a jungle for Joshua to play with his dinosaurs in. Tonight Josh and I created a jungle out of paper towel and toilet paper rolls for the trees and put them on the cardboard that soda comes in when you buy it at Costco. It was awesome... I think I liked it better than Joshua....

Joshua Dumping Toys Out

This morning Joshua got out one of his buckets of toys. He laid down on the floor and put the bucket over him to dump the toys out on himself. I am not sure why he does this, but it started somewhat recently and does it rather frequently. What a sad strange little man! He He He!! :0)

To Infinity and Beyond... again

Joshua likes to pretend he is Buzz Lightyear quite often... he spreads his arms out like wings and jumps as he says, "to ebody and ah ond".... I LOVE IT!! We use plastic dish tubs to hold his toys and this time he had the buckets turned upside down and he was jumping from the ground up to one and then over to another one and then to the ground to do it all over again. He is getting more adventurous. Here is a little video from yesterday on my cell phone so the quality isn't that great, but it is still cute. :0)

Chocolate Pudding Face

Joshua likes to dip cut up strawberries into chocolate pudding... he decorated his face nicely with the pudding yesterday...

"I never seen this movie"

he really does crack me up all the time... Joshua just woke up from his nap and came in to see me and said "I want my toys", so I told him they were on the table. He went to get them and came back to see me and said "thank you mama." He is so sweet. Then he asked if he could watch a movie and went and picked one out. He picked out "The Emporer's New Groove." So I started the movie and it got to the main menu and I was starting to push play and Joshua said, "I never seen this movie." ha ha ha.... haven't heard him say that before... he is so funny... he picked it out... so I told him what the name of it was and he giggled and said okay. Gotta love that boy!! :0)

"Daddy feed me bouffet"

HA HA HA! Ok, this just happened... I was laying Joshua down to change his diaper and while doing so I commented to Joshua (with Josh behind me), saying "shouldn't Daddy be changing your diaper and feeding you and everything today." (being Mother's Day and all) And then Joshua said, "Daddy feed me bouffet." Apparently he is into having buffets right now. What a silly little boy! :0)

"I make presents for you Mama"

So, when Joshua poops and we ask him if he pooped, he usually says no and runs away, which of course means that he did poop and he just doesn't want us to change his diaper. So, if I smell his bum to find out if he pooped or not (after I catch him) and he is in fact poopy, then I say to Josh "Daddy he made presents for you!" So yesterday I knew Joshua was poopy and told him that I needed to change his diaper & laid him down on the floor. As I was laying him down on the floor he said, "I make presents for you Mama." Oh my goodness.... it was hilarious!! :0)

Silly Joshua

Yesterday Joshua and I called Nana and Grandpa to say hi. Joshua took over my phone and was walking around with it and talking to them. He got out his Cars book and put it down on Daddy's chair. Then he decided to honk the horn on it with his nose while he was talking to Nana and Grandpa. What a weirdo! :0) (totally Josh's son) ha ha ha!

Joshua's Bouffet

He he he... so Joshua likes to watch Jurassic Park (all 3 of them). He asks to watch the dinosaur movie. We had the 2nd one on on Friday, 05/08/09, and it came to a part where one of the guys says something like "let's get this walking buffet on the move". Joshua asked what a buffet was and so I tried to explain it to him. We were trying to get him to eat something at the time, so I asked him what he wanted to eat and he said, "a bouffet". Yes, bouffet, because that is how he pronounces buffet. So, he had a buffet of fruit snacks, crunchies and crackers. It was funny! And he asked for a bouffet yesterday, too. That little guy cracks me up! :0)

My Sweet Little Boy

Joshua is such a sweetheart... he was sitting on his little blue chair on Friday, 05/08/09, and I laid down on the floor and put my head in his lap. Then he put his hands on my head and starting patting my head very softly. It was sooooo sweet! Josh took a couple pictures for me.

Family Pictures - Four Generations

Here are some great family pictures that we took of the 4 generations all together on Thurs, 05/07/09, while my Grandma (my Dad's mom), my Dad, my Aunt Jan (my Dad's sister) were all here to visit. It was alot of fun!! :0)

Joshua wearin Mama's crocs

Joshua likes to wear my shoes... it is usually a slip on pair... recently he has started wearing my green crocs and here he is walking around in 'em... he is so funny! :0)

Grandpa & Joshua

Same day still, had to get as many pictures together as we could because they were going to be heading back to Dad's in New Mexico the next morning. Here is a really cute picture of Grandpa & Joshua.

Makin chocolate pies

We finally got to start making the chocolate pies. Dad, Aunt Jan and Grandma gathered in the kitchen workin on the chocolate pies. And then Grandma was mixing the ingredients and trying to keep it from getting any lumps and was shakin her body to show us how to do it... had to catch it on video, it was funny!

Grandma & Joshua fixin truck

On Thursday, 05/07/09, after we had pizza for dinner and were getting ready to make chocolate pies, Joshua wanted Grandma to help him put his trucks back together. So Grandma helped him fix his truck so that we could get started on the chocolate pies.

Joshua & Grandma nugglin

After Joshua was done nugglin with Daddy, he headed over to Grandma & nuggled up with her for a little while. Grandma just ate it up.

Joshua & Daddy nugglin

Thursday, 05/07/09, Joshua and Daddy nugglin after Joshua woke up from his nap. Although it looks like Joshua has fallen back asleep. So sweet!

"I eat you now"

Wed night (05/06/09) with Grandma, Dad, Aunt Jan, Brooke and Kimball over at our house... Joshua was playing around. We had Enchanted on for Joshua to show them his "true loves kiss" impression of the troll. But then Josh started saying "I eat you now" to Joshua (like the troll says to Giselle) and Joshua would go running to Grandma and she would pick him up to save him from the troll. It was adorable!! (by the way, he is not picking his nose in this picture, he is just pushing on it)

To Infinity and Beyond

My Grandma & Aunt Jan drove from North Carolina to New Mexico to my Dad's house and picked up my Dad and they all drove up here to us and got here on Wed night. We were all hanging out at our house and Joshua was, of course, the center of attention. He started jumping over my legs and would make a circle and come back and do it again, and kept doing it over and over. He kept saying something as he got ready to jump over my legs, but I couldn't figure out what it was right away. Finally figured out that he was saying "to infinity and beyond" and was acting like Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story. He even had his arms out like Buzz's wings. It was awesome!! Josh got it on video, so here it is! Joshua's version of "to infinity and beyond" sounds more like "to ebody and ah-ond"... or something along those lines... he he he! :0)

Chillin in the Love Sac

he he he... Josh taught Joshua how to chill, which is putting his arms behind his head and layin back... he usually crosses his legs, too. Yesterday (after his nice late nap) he climbed into the love sac and was "chillin".

Sleepy Boy

So yesterday Joshua was fighting going down for a nap... I finally gave up thinking maybe he would go to bed early. Yeah right... instead Josh calls me to the living room to "come look quick"... Joshua had fallen asleep on his little blue chair... it was cute! :0) This was about 4:00 so he did not go to bed early!

"Daddy, you here!"

He he he... Josh had to work yesterday and actually even had to work 2 hours later than he was scheduled. But when he got home and walked in the front door, Joshua said, "Daddy, you here!" It was so cute and sweet! He hasn't said that before to either one of us! :0)

I want to see...

Last night Joshua and I were on our way to go pick up Daddy at work. Shortly after we left our house heading for the freeway Joshua said, "I wanna go see Maggie and Comet and Nana and Uncle Mike and Uncle Matt and Grandpa." This was without any prompting and we were not even talking about them, it just came out of the blue. It was so sweet!! Then a few minutes later, as I am talking to Nana on the phone to tell her what Joshua had just said, Joshua said, "I wanna go in Nana's house." It was so cute! Then we arrive at Costco and are waiting outside for Josh to get off work and I decide to get in the passenger seat so that Josh could drive. As I open the door to get out of the van Joshua said, "Me go in Nana's house?" as if we had just pulled up to Nana's house to go inside. What a sweetheart! :0) And of course this all made Nana want to see him even more. Nana and Grandpa and Uncle Mike and Uncle Matt and Maggie and Comet shoud move down here to Utah.

"Honey"

I have to start out by saying that when I talk to Joshua I usually call him something else other than "Joshua"... one of his nicknames usually... stinkadoo, buddy, dude, sweetheart or honey (are some of them). So we went out house hunting on Thurs 04/30/09 with our realtor and we were walking up to the door of one of the houses to look at the inside and Joshua said, "Honey, open the door" to our realtor. Our realtor said, "Did he just call me honey?". It was funny! This has happened a few times and people usually react the same way. :0)

When Joshua and I went to Babies R Us with Brooke for her baby registry it happened. We were at the checkout register and we were getting him a couple little boats for the bathtub and I told him that we had to give them to the lady so we can pay for them and then he can have them back. So she scanned them and handed them to Joshua to hold. Then he said, "here honey" to the lady at the counter handing the boats back to her to scan them, so she pretend scanned them. Then she asked, "did he just call me honey?" She thought it was cute!

Even before that... on 04/16/09... we kinda have a routine each night that he has a snack. We were standing in front of the cabinet and he was looking for a snack to eat. And out of the blue... no idea what prompted it... he said, "honey, what you talkin about?" "what you talkin about, mama?" ... oh my goodness, I was laughing pretty hard. And of course nobody else was around to hear it! Gotta love the cute and funny things they say!!
